9 pm to 3:30 am

Addison's sleep schedule is changing...for the better. Last night I laid her down still a little awake at 9 o'clock. She fell sleep on her own and then didn't get up until 3:30 am. After feeding her she went right back to sleep and then we had to wake her up at 7:30 am so I could feed her before work. It was great!!! This was the second night of this. I hope I'm not jinxing it by updating here. Let's hope this trend continues.

Addison is having so much fun staying home with Michael. Even more, Michael is having such a good time staying home with her. I love to see them together when I come home. He's such a good dad. I didn't appreciate the TN outfit he put her in yesterday when he brought her to work to visit. That's why I have to dress her in the mornings before I leave...like in the above picture. Can't wait to get her in some Gator gear!

Pictures! (...and shots)

Addison went for her 2 month appt today and had her second round of shots - 4 of them! I was for sure she would squeal like she did the first time, but she proved me to be a liar. She did cry, but it wasn't even comparable to last time. And she stopped as soon as Michael picked her up. I couldn't watch. I stood in the corner like a wimp. It hurts me to see her so helpless like that. Now for the stats...she weighed in at 12 lbs, 7 ounces (75th percentile) and is 24 inches long (92nd percentile). She's all legs and is going to be tall like her daddy. Obviously the feeding is going great! Dr. Cooper gave her a clean bill of health. I couldn't ask for anything more.

We got our pics back from Kara yesterday. Here are a couple. She took about 150 of them, but a link to about 25 or so is at the bottom. Love them!
Check them out here...

Addison's new favorite thing...Her thumb! This was the first time she's fallen asleep while sucking it. Everyone tells me not to let her do it b/c it's a habit that's hard to break and I agree 100%. We've tried...trust me. Inserting the pacifier when we see the hand heading that way, putting mittens on her at night (I know, we're mean), but none of it works. She's sneaky. Somehow she gets the mittens off at night. And if you take it out when it's already in she gets so mad. She sucks it in the bathtub during her nightly bath b/c she knows we're busy and can't keep it out. So we're done fighting her. Luckily she only does it when she's tired and it normally comes out pretty soon after she's fallen asleep. She doesn't do it much during the day so hopefully it will be something that she won't need as time passes.Addison has been getting a little fussy in the evenings between 5:30 pm and 7:30 pm for a week or two now. I can tell that she's already starting to get over it which is good. She tends to get sleepy pretty early and has pretty much set a bedtime for herself of 8:00 pm. She'll normally sleep for about 5 hours and then want to eat. From there it's every 3 hours so we need that to get a little longer. This is the only thing that seems to calm her down in the evenings...laying in daddy's arms.

Back to work tomorrow. I have mixed emotions about it, but I will definitely miss being with her. I can't believe it has been 10 weeks. Michael will be home with her for 3 weeks so I have a little bit of a transition period before she starts daycare. I think I'll need it! It's amazing how she has changed our lives. I love her so much!!!

A couple more pics. We made a surprise visit to my mom on Thursday. Our first trip together without dad. This is her getting a bath in the same sink that I did when I was little and I let her sleep with me for the first time. Jim snapped this picture Friday morning. It sure was a fun night and she did really good away from home. She looks so big in this picture.Addison has her 2 month check up on Wednesday and 4 shots to get. I'll update with some stats then. And...I should have her pics back from Kara also.

2 months old

Our internet connection wasn't working so I'm a day late. Addison turned two months old yesterday. She spent a lot of time with daddy for Father's Day. Michael is a great dad and Addison sure does love him. It's amazing how much she's changed in two months. She's so much more active and her personality is starting to show. On Thursday the 14th she rolled over for the first time, but I don't think she meant to. She hasn't done it since, but she's very close. In the evenings she gets a little fussy for some reason and normally likes to be held or outside around this time. We try to go for a walk and it normally calms her down. She's definitely a little stubborn sometimes when she fights sleep. Speaking of sleep...her she is with daddy yesterday. She loves her new Bjorn carrier.
Some more pics...Tummy time with her head held high! Check out this video of Addison playing. She loves swatting! Look closely and you'll catch a smile...

Info...

Addison has been sleeping in her crib now for a week and it's been going okay. She was sleeping 4-4.5 hours for a couple of days before the crib and now she's back to every 3 hours. And she's having trouble going back down after feedings. I'm sure her sleep is off b/c of the crib. She did sleep from about 9 pm to 2 am last night though so maybe she's turning the corner...again. Kara (my friend who took our maternity pics) came out this past weekend to take some pics of Addison. Can't wait to get them back. She did pretty good for her first photo shoot only getting fussy a couple of times. I'm sure Kara got some great shots though. Addison is smiling more, loves to reach out and grab for things now, and can hold her head up for longer periods. I tried to get some pics today, but my batteries died and I didn't have any others. I'll take care of that this weekend. Michael has been wanting me to post his baby pic so we can all see who she looks like. Her face is definitely more round like Michael's, but she still looks like me. She does have his long legs and blue eyes though.Only 7 more days of being home with her and then I'm back to work. I'm sure it will be hard, but Michael will be with her for 3 weeks before she goes to daycare (some transition time for mom). The time sure has gone by fast. I can't believe how much she's grown and changed. She's such a good baby, only crying when she's hungry or fighting sleep. Can't complain about that.

Yahoo photos will be no longer in the near future so I created a new link. Here is the link to Addison's pics taken during the second month. More to come this weekend.

Smile!!!

Her first one caught on camera though she's been doing it for a couple of days now. Love it!
Here's a couple more of her doing her everyday things...lifting her head and chillin' on the couch. I can't believe how long she is getting. She's going to be tall like her daddy.
