Pictures...

My mom was upset that I posted the doc update without a picture. Here you go mom!

We've been hanging out in the backyard in the evenings since it is a little bit cooler (big emphasis on "little"). Addison loves to play "Superman" with Michael. She always has the biggest grin when she's flying through the air.
She also loves to stare and talk to the palm tree. You should see her when the wind blows and the branches start to move. It's funny to see her get so excited.
And how could I resist this next one. The look on her face makes me giggle each time I look at it! I wonder what she was thinking...

4 month checkup

Addison went to see Dr. Cooper this morning. My little girl is growing like a weed! She weighed in at 14 lbs 9.5 ounces (70th percentile) and is 26.5 inches long (97th percentile - highest you can go!). They always mark her length on the table paper and then measure. I'm always in amazement when I pick her up and see the marks. I can't believe she is that long. I guess I'm used to her being all curled up in my arms. Doc said she's perfect and there is no need to give her any kind of food yet. Her measurements are right where they should be.

I may regret putting this in writing since the opposite happens as soon as I do, but Addison has slept through the night the last 3 NIGHTS!!! There's been a couple of times when I've gotten up to feed her and by the time I make it to her room she's fallen back asleep. She gets really restless when she turns over on her tummy, but once she finds the right position (and plants those fingers in her mouth) she will fall back asleep. Hopefully this will last until the teeth start coming in.

Nothing else is really new. Addison loves to talk to her mobile and the characters attached to her car seat. Michael and I love to just sit back and listen. Some of the noises really make us laugh. I love that she makes us smile everday!

Teething???How the heck do I know? I'm new at this! But I don't feel anything popping up yet. Addison loves to chomp on other people's fingers and it hurts! Don't worry...my hands were clean. I swear my finger is going to be black and blue today. Notice the nice shine on my hand. Drool - and lots of it.

I don't think I mentioned the FANTASTIC Target coupon that I found on the internet this past month. Buy two Gerber items and get $1.00 off. I was able to get some jars of baby food for as little as 2 cents a piece. Gotta love a great deal! She's not eating it yet, but I couldn't pass it up so I loaded up for the coming months. Had to share my stash...around 275 containers (plastic and jars) in all. Over $200 worth of food for about a third of the price. I'm so proud of myself. Thanks Target! One more...I absolutely DESPISE the outfit, but how can you not love that cute face. Don't worry - she'll be decked on in Gator gear for football season!National Champions who? GO GATORS!!!

4 months old...

...Today! She's getting so big. Just this past week Addison has been eating like a pig during the day. Last night I tried giving her more cereal. I really don't think she ate that much since it was all over her face. I think she had more fun trying to eat the spoon. We'll have to work on that a little.

Afterwards I went to get a washcloth to wash her face and hands. I come back 10 seconds later and this is what I found (see video below). I just love her and how she's starting to explore everything!

She's still waking once a night to eat, but I can still handle that. It appears that her appetite is increasing so we'll probably up her ounces beginning next week. We're going to keep working on mastering the spoon this weekend and maybe start cereal at daycare next week as well. We'll see how it goes.

YUMMY!

Addison was sitting in her bumbo last night on the table while Michael and I were eating dinner and she was so interested in our food. So, just for the heck of it, I decided to give her a small taste of rice cereal. She didn't seem to hate it...
She did want to help me though. Doc appt on the 27th and we'll ask about adding it to her regular diet.

*Addison slept through the night again last night...8 pm to 7 am. Love it!

Family time!

Michael's sister and her family were in town since Wednesday. Addison got to spend some time with her cousins. We took her to the beach for the first time on Saturday. It was so hot (not even a breeze) and she was fighting sleep the whole time so we only stayed for about an hour. Maybe we'll try again one day early in the morning or sometime in the fall.

Friday was Matthew's birthday so we went to eat at Joe's Crab Shack. Addison really liked when the servers would dance.

Andrew, Michael and Matthew at Joe's.

After taking pictures that night I decided to take my new camera back and get a different one. For some reason all the pictures had red eye and it was getting on my nerves. I love that the new one is small and fits right in my pocket. So, here are some pictures...me trying out my new camera!

"Seriously Mom...another one!"

Addison had so much fun playing that she was worn out at naptime. This was in our bed with her new favorite toy...bunny (no clever name yet).

16 weeks - First cold...Does that look like the face of a sick little girl? Guess that's what happens at daycare. Addison has had a little cough and a runny nose since Monday morning. Last night she had a tiny fever, but she's been acting like her same old self - HAPPY! She's always smiling and laughing. And last night she was "talking" a lot.

Addison's baptism

Addison was baptized yesterday at the small church I have gone to most of my life. She was an angel! She slept through the entire service - even the water being poured on her head. Then she endured a day of family at my mom's house. She got to meet a lot of 2nd and 3rd cousins for the first time. When all was said and done she was a very tired little girl. Thanks to Uncle Jesse and Aunt Tiffany for being Addison's Godparents. Resting with Jesse. I love the way she has her hands crossed.A couple more...just because we love her!

We just noticed the dimple above her left eye this weekend. Love it!

I'm back in business!

Michael ran out last night and picked up a new camera for me. I took these this morning. Addison is always so smiley and happy in the mornings. And she loves daddy's "morning" song that he sings. It's one of our favorite times of the day.
On her way to "school"...that's what I call it (makes it better for me, mentally). She does so good in the car seat now. I give her a toy to play with and she's fascinated with it the whole way there. She loves to use her hands and put everything in her mouth.

"Is she okay?"

That's what Michael and I were asking each other last night. Addison slept from 7:45 p.m. to 7 a.m. I had to put it in writing since it's the first time she's slept through the night! She's such a big girl. The question now is - Will she do it again tonight? More to come...
