Best two dollars we ever spent!

Addison loves to chew. We bought her this new toy on Saturday thinking it would be good for her to munch on. I don't think it has had a dry moment since it was taken out of the package.
At least she still has fingers as a back up. Love the face!

Many updates

First things first...I'm done with the new layout (for now). You like? Most people who read this know that I'm very anal about things so who knows what I'll change next. I'm still new at this whole Photoshop/HTML thing but I think I did a pretty good job for my first try.

I just got back from seeing Addison at lunch. She was sitting up at daycare, unassisted, for minutes at a time. It's moments like these when I realize how fast she's growing up. She's such a big girl already. She loves to stand, but still needs lots of help doing that. I think if her thighs weren't so chunky she'd be crawling. She just has such a hard time getting those knees under her.

Addison's first bath in her big girl tub. She's still a little wobbly, especially when it's wet.
Gotta love Sunday naps. ***A link to all pictures is on the right. Click on 'Shutterfly'.***

5 months old (2 days late)

Such a bad mom...Addison turned 5 months old on Monday. I was so caught up in my Gator pics, taking her to the doc and going to the dermatologist myself that I forgot to mention it.
The doc said that she still has a cold. Not sure if it's a new one or just a continuation of the old one. Either way, she still has the cough. The doc told us to give her Tylenol at night, run the humidifier and put her mattress on an incline to keep the stuff draining in her nose and throat from bothering her. It seems to work. She's been sleeping normally and not coughing nearly as much. I can't wait for her to be over it though. As for me...had a skin check at the dermatologist, mainly for the nasty mole that appeared while I was pregnant. Of course, all of the big ugly moles are perfectly normal. The one she took off looked just like a freckle. No need to worry though. I go back in 2 weeks to get the stitches out. Should be fine.

Same stuff with Addison - still trying to crawl, laughing and smiling all the time, doing better at sitting up. I stopped by school yesterday and sat her up to play with something. As usual she fell forward, but this time she was able to pull herself back up to the sitting position. First time I have seen her do that. This morning she was rolling all over the place. Front to back, back to front. She's been rolling both ways for awhile, but this morning it was her entertainment. Lastly, I sat her up in the bathtub last night and she discovered the water. She kept grabbing at her feet through the water and couldn't quite figure out what was all over her hands. And she loves to splash. Too cute!

FYI - still working on the videos. Blogger is being really slow.

All better!

Addison is feeling so much better. Her fever finally broke on Saturday afternoon, but the cough is still around. Me, not so good. I can't kick this. I've felt worse the last two days than I did on Friday. I'm toughing it out though.

Here's Addison's first time playing in the laundry (clean, of course).
Addison loves when I dance for her. She giggles the entire time. I wonder what she could possibly find so funny. My moves are fantastic!
Just because we love her.Addison is really wanting to crawl and sit up on her own. We're working on it and she's almost there. And we're still waiting on those teeth.

We're sick

Addison got it first. I got it yesterday. She's had a cough since Monday, but no other symptoms. Still her happy and cheerful little self. But this cough has been different than the cold she had about a month ago so we've been keeping a close eye on her. Last night she felt a little warm and had a little bit of a rash. She still slept through the night, but was really restless. This morning at 6.15 she woke up irritable and very warm. Her temp was 100.4 and she only wanted to be held. My happy little girl was not happy. It broke my heart to see her like that. Since I couldn't sleep last night and wasn't feeling well either we both decided to stay home. I took her into the doc and she has an upper respitory infection (also known as a cold). The tylenol we had given her already dropped her temp. Basically, it's viral, so we keep giving her tylenol as needed and wait for it to pass. Addison and I spent most of the day in bed. I don't think any mother wants their child to be sick, but it sure makes you feel special when all they want to do is cuddle and be held. It's definitley a special 'mommy moment'. She's in bed right now, sleeping like an angel.

Dog walking

The neighbors asked us to check in on their two Yorkie's while they are out of town. Since I went into work a little late today (neuro appt) I decided to take them for a quick walk. Addison was all geared up and ready to go. We don't make it outside much in the morning (mostly b/c it's Florida and SO HOT!), but she seemed to love it! Love the stroller...All of that walking really wore her out. This was about 5 minutes after we got back. Well, they're back. The migraines. It's been about 2 weeks now and I'm not happy. I went to my neurologist this morning for a quick checkup. She confirmed what I already thought...I can't take the Relpax b/c I'm still breastfeeding. I can take the Fioricet and Fioricet with codeine (just like when I was pregnant), but it's still hit or miss on whether it knocks out the pain. With the Relpax I'm sure that my pain will be gone in 30 mins. We'll see what happens. I'm going to try to tough it out as long as possible.

New video!

Blogger has a new video feature. I no longer have to post to YouTube first. So, let's give it a try. Here is Addison talking to the mobile on her swing. ***Warning*** -you may want to look away often or you could get sick.

Addison is officially sleeping through the night. It's been 9 of the last 12 days. Good enough for me! Not sure about Michael, but I'm loving it! It sure makes getting up earlier a lot easier when you have a full night of sleep. There's no teeth yet, but they must be on the way. At times she can get her whole hand in her mouth. If she can grab it, then it goes in the mouth! Sunday night she was lying on her tummy on the floor and she started to 'scoot' towards her toys. She wants to crawl so bad. It's funny to watch her shimmy across the floor - inch by inch. I'm sure she'll be running all over the place before we know it.
