Here's the long awaited video.

I tried something a little different this time. I'll keep practicing so I'm sure the next one will be better.

I can't wait til she's older

Addison sometimes likes to join me while I blow dry my hair in the morning. She decided to do her own hair this particular morning. Okay, I put in the curler, but the mousse and hair clip were all her.

Documenting

For the books...I swear that Addison has started to say "ma-ma" this week. She was crawling around the other morning looking for me as I was getting ready and I heard her say it a couple of times. It was the sweetest thing. She sure loves her mommy.

We went to the allergist yesterday for a follow up visit. I told him that Addison is still getting colds here and there, but I don't feel like they are nearly as bad as they used to be. There's only been two times that we've had to use the nebulizer because she was so congested. We decided to keep her on the Singulair until the end of the cold/flu season which is May 31st. We'll see how it goes after that.

I added a bunch of pics to Shutterfly last week. I'm also working on some more videos that I should have up soon.

Happy "first" Easter

Before heading to church we treated ourselves to cinnamon rolls for breakfast. Addison had hers without the icing of course. I snapped this one before heading in to church.

After lunch and a small nap, we headed to the backyard to hunt for eggs. I put coins in the eggs and afterwards Addison helped me put the money in her piggy bank.

And a big Easter kiss for mommy.

Press play to view the egg hunt action.

Hope everyone had a great Easter!

Kisses

Here you go. Another small dose of Addison to brighten your day. Press play.

11 months old (and Happy St. Patty's Day)

Time sure flies when you're having fun. I just love this little girl to pieces. She's always doing something to make me laugh. For example, she's learning how to use her tongue to make different sounds and the noises she was making tonight were cracking me up. And she giggles when I say "oops". Love her!

And for the books - Addison is officially walking. She's been doing it for a week now. It's still not her preferred mode of transportation, but she's getting better each day. I have a couple of steps on video that I will post soon.

Another video

Evidently Addison thinks that throwing up is funny. Little does she know - not so fun. Addison was playing with the barf bag on the plane coming home from TN and Michael decided to join in on the fun.

New tricks

Here is the first of a couple of videos I have to post. I'm a little behind on getting it posted. This may not seem that exciting, but after chewing and banging these things together for months it was a proud moment for me when she realized their true purpose.

More videos coming soon.

Chillin'

At night, usually right before bed, Addison will curl up on the couch and lean back while I read her a couple of books. It makes me smile every time. Here she is practicing her lean in Scott's lap this past weekend.

And just because she's so darn cute. This is how I found her Saturday night when I went to check on her.

Did I mention that she's such a good sleeper? Last night she slept from 7:30 to 7. I think the time change is working out to my benefit. She's been sleeping later all week. Let's just hope it sticks around for the weekends.

First snow

Saturday morning we woke up and about 20 minutes later it started to snow (yes, we were in TN). Addison couldn't quite figure out what kept falling on her head. She loved it though. I was hoping to get a better picture later in the day, but that never happened. So this is the best I have. Excuse the pj's and bed head (on both of us). It was cold and we were only out there for a minute.

There wasn't a huge amount, but it did snow for a couple of hours. Just enough to cover the ground for awhile.

Happy Retirement Pappaw Coy

We spent the past weekend in TN for Michael's dad's retirement party. 47 years he worked for Bell South. I can't even imagine. We had a great time and as usual, Addison was the perfect traveler.

We love you Coy. We hope you enjoy playing golf and we can't wait to spend some retirement time with you.

More steps

(Documentation purposes since this has become my online babybook.) Sunday night we're sitting in the living room catching some of the news. Addison is playing with her activity table and then spots a toy in the middle of the room. Michael and I watch quietly as she took 7 to 8 steps to get that toy. I was so proud. It's funny how we try to get her to walk towards us and she has no interest, but leave her alone and she does it all on her own. She's still doing 7 to 8 steps at a time and should be cruising in no time. I'm working on video.
