Quick update

Addison is doing a lot better since the fever. The rash lasted until Saturday sometime, but she was back to herself. Still have no idea what caused it, but I did feel a top molar coming in.

We flew to Nashville this past weekend to visit our friends Greg and Lauren and their girls Presley and Lyla. Addison has done so great traveling during her short life, but we were "those people with the crying kid" on the way up. As soon as the pilot said we were heading down she started to scream. Horrible 20 minutes. It must have been her ears bothering her. Poor thing. She did great coming home. Not a peep.

Thanks to Greg and Lauren for letting us visit. We had a lot of fun just hanging out. Addison and Lyla are 8 days apart so it was interesting to see them interact with one another. And Presley is the sweetest 3 year old. Both are just too cute. Bennie, Katie and Eric came in to town also and we were able to have an adult dinner one night (thanks to Lauren's mom for sitting with the kids). It's always great to see everyone.

I have pictures to post soon.

To my husband

It's been another great year as a married couple. That makes three now. Michael and I have done so many great things together and we always have so much fun. There's always plenty of laughs when we're together.

Michael - Thank you so much for being such a great husband and father. Addison and I are so lucky to have you in our lives. I love you so much and couldn't imagine my life without you.
Love, me

I was going to post pictures from our wedding and such, but I decided to take a different route when I found these. I know Michael is going to kill me for this, but I couldn't resist. This is just one reason why I love him so much.

Happy Anniversary honey! I love you!

Sick again

Addison has had a fever now since Monday afternoon. At times it's been as high as 104. I took her to the doc on Tuesday afternoon after it staying pretty high for a day. They tested her for strep, checked her ears, and nothing. We've been alternating Motrin and Tylenol which helps to bring it down. But here we are three days later and she still has a temp of 101.3 and a lovely new rash on her upper body to go with it. She hasn't been eating very well so her diet has consisted of bananas, cheese, goldfish and cheerios. It's the only thing we can get her to eat. On the plus side, she is still drinking a lot of fluids. I have another call in to the doc to see what to do next.

She's done a lot of napping the last couple of days. I just snapped this of her. Such a mommy's girl when she's sick. I secretly love it!

Powell's

There's this little place in Starke that has the BEST banana splits (served in a cup - as the sign says). It's been there forever. My dad introduced us to it as kids and we've been hooked ever since. It's tradition to stop there both on the way in and out of Gainesville. This weekend we went to my mom's for a visit and Addison had her first taste of Powell's.

This picture is for you dad. It was as good as it looks. So yummy!

Daddy dresses me - can't you tell.
Perfect my fish face.
Work my Gator beads.
Pull all of my shoes out as mom tries to put them away.

Happy Mother's Day

...to my mom, Michael's mom, our grandparents and all of the other mom's out there. Being a mom is so rewarding. To see Addison smile everyday fills my heart with so much joy. This morning I was greeted by Addison and Michael with breakfast in bed. I got a gift card to do some shopping and then this afternoon I got to take a long nap. It was a busy weekend so it was fun to spend the day together playing outside, watching golf and lounging around.

I know I've used this one before, but I don't have any new ones of us together and Addison's kisses are just one of the reasons why I love being a mom.

Go Gators

Addison found my Gator beads in the drawer the other day. Sometimes she likes to run around naked for a few minutes after her bath. So she heads in the bedroom and comes back out looking like this. Love it!

Sunday we took a nap together on the couch. I had to get up because she was invading my space. She was totally out and looked oh so comfy. She slept like this for a good hour after I got up.

Giraffes

Saturday we met our friend Ryan and his little boy Greyson at the zoo. Addison seemed to be a little more in to the animals this time. She was so worn out when we went to leave. She didn't make it long in the car before she was out. We didn't stay long so I only have a couple of pictures.
