Flower Power party

We threw a little (if you call 35 people or so little) party on Saturday. We had a great time with all of our family and friends. I did a lot of flower decorations around the house and yard and we all had a lot of fun tie dying t-shirts. The weather turned out to be nice and it only sprinkled for a minute or two. As you will see, Addison was a little overwhelmed with all of the people in her space.

The cake. It's supposed to be the highlight of the first birthday party. Well, as I suspected, Addison wanted no part of it. Her stranger anxiety kicked in and she only wanted to be held which is why we ended up in the grass with the cake. This is also the reason why I have more cake on me than she has on her.

She did finally decide to take a bite. Here she is going in head first.


Opening presents. Addison got some great things...toys, books, clothes and some cash. I think the cash was her favorite!

This pretty much sums up the day.

Thanks Shannon for helping me with the final touches and decorations. Thanks Mom for making some of the food. Thanks to all who let me borrow stuff. And thanks to everyone who came to celebrate. It couldn't have been possible without all of you. Looking forward to next year. Well, maybe I'll take a break next year and wait until she's three. :)
